Phentermine Diet Pills

Phentermine pills are commonly used weight loss medication that is best taken early in the morning, at least one hour before breakfast. Sustained-release and long acting pills are to be swallowed whole. Crushing or chewing them may have a negative impact on the long action of the drug and may cause serious increased side effects. Also as this drug may be the cause insomnia, try to avoid taking a dose late in the evening. This drug should be taken as prescribed by the health professionals. Do not take this drug at a higher dosage, more often or for a longer period (not exceeding 12 weeks) than directed. It is not usually recommended to use it in combination with other appetite suppressant medicine.

Common side effects that may occur during the first few days you will be taking phentermine pills include blurred vision, dizziness, dry mouth, sleeplessness, irritability, stomach upset or constipation until your body adjusts to the medication. If the above side effects persist or intensify, immediately inform your health professional. Contact a doctor if you suffer from the following: chest pain, nervousness, pounding heart, difficulty urinating, mood changes, breathing difficulties, swelling. If the taking of this drug makes you dizzy or lightheaded, avoid driving or engaging in activities that usually require special alertness.

Inform your health professional about all the medical substances that you use, (prescription and nonprescription) more importantly if you are taking: high blood pressure medicine, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) or any other weight loss drugs. Avoid taking any “stimulant” drugs, such as decongestants or caffeine, that may increase your heart rate while taking phentermine pills. Decongestants are usually noticed in over-the-counter cough-and-cold medicines.
